My research is mainly based on education quality, and especially international tests on pupils' achievement, such as PISA, TIMSS or SACMEQ. By using all available sources related to pupil/adult achievement tests, I try to evaluate for the quality of education in an international perspective.

Currently, I am updating the first database which consisted in 2007 to build the "Qualitative Indicators of Human Capital", by including new data, new methodology and other approaches. This database can be useful to economists, and every researcher who look for a good proxy for quality of education.

Other projects include a report on Turkish Education System, A database on Education inequality, the relation between education quality and economic growth and most recently the evaluation of higher education performance. A new project based on education quality in Africa will be finished in late 2009.

In relation to these research topics, I have some cooperation projects with Education for All Global Monitoring Report - Unesco, IIEP and World Bank Fast Track Initiative.
